George Washington Dollar No Edge Lettering NGC MS65 #16933

This coin skipped the final process of getting the date and mint mark stamped on the coin. The new Presidential series has the date and mint mark rolled on the edge of the coin as a last step in the minting process. A number of coins missed this step, creating this major error variety. Estimates of the mintage range from 50,000 to 250,000. Based on what has been graded to date and mint figures released, I think the final number will be around 80-100,000 coins.
