1954 Original Boxed Proof Set #16585

We do not normally inventory boxed proof sets from 1950-55, however, we do buy and sell them all the time. When you order a set from these years, we will either pull one from inventory, or procure one from our vast dealer network. The set you receive will be a high quality PF64-66 grade set. It will be housed in the original issue cardboard box with the proper tissue paper as issued by the mint. In order to find an orignal pristine set, please allow 2-3 weeks to procure. The picture is a stock picture, however, is representative of the quality you will recieve. Please note the coins will have some very light original toning. See the FAQ for explanation. Please note the 1954 Proof Sets came with two different types of coin flips. The early sets has the same cello as the 1953 proof sets. Those are the only ones we sell. The second variety (the majority of sets) came with a PVC laden opaque flip. This imparts a deep purple toning on the coins which can not be removed. Stay away from those sets.
